Changing the Default Installation Folder

To modify the default installation directory, please adhere to the below-provided steps:

  1. Launch the Registry Editor by typing regedit in the Run dialog (Windows key + R).
  2. Navigate to the following Registry path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders.
  3. In the right-side pane, identify any entries that specify the H: Drive.
  4. For each identified entry, alter the value data to point to the desired location on the C:\ drive. Ensure the specified folder path exists.
  5. Carry out these adjustments for another Registry key located at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders.
  6. Finally, review your system variables by accessing System Properties. Follow this path: Start > Advanced System Properties > Environment Variables. Confirm that the H: Drive is not listed in any of the variable values.
